Art of Cooking Featuring Chef Kiel Anderson Presented
by the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach
Sunday, July 25th, 1 pm to 2 pm

Laguna Beach, CA – Delight in the Art of Cooking with Chef Kiel Anderson, at The Festival of Arts on Sunday, July 25th, from 1 pm to 2 pm. Anderson is a young and fresh chef who creates mouthwatering dishes for patrons at the new hot spot in Laguna Beach, Watermarc. Watch and learn as he demonstrates delicious recipes and then lets guests taste these creative culinary delights. The recipes will be available for guests to take home to try out their own culinary skills. Free with Festival of Arts admission ($7).

Born and raised in Orange County, Anderson has been working in the food industry since he was fifteen years old. He attended culinary school at the Art Institute of Los Angeles, Orange County where he graduated with honors in 2004. During culinary school, he worked at Marbella Country Club, Tail of the Whale and Opah Restaurant in Aliso Viejo. He moved throughout the company working at all three of the Opah locations until he was promoted to executive sous chef at the Rancho Santa Margarita location in July of 2007.

Anderson was also promoted to Chef de Cuisine, where he currently works with Marc Cohen, the chef/owner of Watermarc. After just one year after opening, the restaurant has enjoyed a very successful first year. Orange Coast Magazine recently voted “Best of 2010 Restaurants – Top Ten” Watermarc.

Festival admission prices are $7 for general admission and $4 for seniors and students. All general admission tickets to The Festival of Arts – California’s Premier Fine Art Show are season passes giving unlimited access to the Festival of Arts all summer long. Patrons are encouraged to visit the Festival again and again to enjoy all the art, activities and events offered. Laguna Beach residents and Military personnel with ID receive free admission, as do children under the age of 12. Tickets for Pageant of the Masters are $15-$100 (depending on seat location and night of the week). Pageant of the Masters ticket holders can present their stub at The Festival of Arts front gate for free admission all summer long. The Festival of Arts – California’s Premier Fine Art Show runs from July 5th through August 31st (closed August 28th at 2pm for a fundraising event).

The Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters are sponsored in part by Acura, Fidelity Investments, KOST Radio 103.5, the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, the Orange County Register and COX Communications. The Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization that produces The Festival of Arts – California’s Premier Fine Art Show and the Pageant of the Masters.
